Robit Rocktools invests in South Korea
Premium-quality drilling tools expert, Robit Rocktools, recently established an important foothold in Asia with the acquisition of South Korea’s oldest and largest rock tools manufacturer, Young Poong CND.
Signed this May, the agreement has its roots in a letter of intent signed a couple of years ago and is expected to make Robit a much more international player in the drilling field, thanks to an expanded product range and more competitive pricing in Asian markets.
"A factory and warehouse in Asia will enable us to serve our customers even better than before and allow us to offer Robit's high-quality products with substantially shorter lead times in the region," says Robit Rocktools’ CEO, Jussi Rautiainen.
Established in 1974, Young Poong CND has a wide range of drilling tools in its portfolio and operates from a brand-new manufacturing facility in Donghae and a sales office in Seoul.
Robit Rocktools has been at the forefront of the drilling business since 1985, supplying high-quality drilling tools for mines, quarries, and construction sites around the world. Robit exports its products to more than 60 countries, and its white bits are known worldwide. Featuring premium-quality Scandinavian steel and homogenous tungsten carbide, Robit’s products offer exceptional performance in even the toughest conditions.
